Cairns, in the far northern corner of Queensland Australia, is the venue for the worldsleep07: The 5th World Congress of the World Federation of Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine Societies to be held 2-6 September 2007.

The meeting will bring together the worlds leading basic and clinical sleep researchers, clinicians, sleep technologists, students and industry in the WFSRSMS’s first quadrennial congress in the Asia-Pacific region. A fascinating scientific programme is planned with plenary lectures, symposia, thematic poster sessions and a range of satellite meetings including the International Symposium on Sleep and Breathing.

Cairns is a vibrant tropical city and the only place in the world with two adjoining world heritage treasures, the Great Barrier Reef and The Rainforest. Cairns is in the very heart of the Asia Pacific region.The Cairns Convention centre is a world-class meetings venue located in a tropical paradise and is just minutes walk from a wide range of hotels and the international airport.

The Australasian Sleep Association is the peak scientific body in Australia and New Zealand representing clinicians, scientists and researchers in the broad area of Sleep. The ASA is a member society of the World Federation of Sleep Research & Sleep Medicine Societies.
