Trainee Professional Development Day

One of the highlights of the worldsleep07 Trainee Program will be the Trainee Professional Development Day, to be held on Sunday 2nd September at the Cairns Convention Centre. This day will start at 9am on Sunday 2nd September, and will consist of a Keynote address by Anna Wirz-Justice and a number of concurrent, interactive workshops. Lunch will be provided. The Trainee Professional Development Day will conclude at around 4:30pm, in time for everyone to enjoy the worldsleep07 Opening Ceremony and Welcome Drinks.

All trainees are encouraged to attend this day, and all recipients of travel awards will be required to attend the Trainee Professional Development Day in order to be eligible for their award. Attendance at this day is free for trainees.

Trainees will be required to register for the day, as attendees will need to nominate which workshops they wish to attend. We have great pleasure in hosting participants to the 10th International Sleep and Breathing Symposium in Palm Cove near Cairns in 2007.This meeting is by invitation only and is a continuation of a tradition that started in Banff, Canada in 1989 bringing together international experts in sleep and breathing in an informal setting. Hosting this meeting so close to Cairns and the Congress will allow us to provide a vibrant scientific program in sleep-breathing disorders at worldsleep07.
